Section 203 Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Assessment

About this project

Cedar Port Navigation and Improvement District (CPNID) as the Non-Federal Sponsors (NFS) under authority granted by Section 203 of Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) 2022 is preparing an Integrated Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Cedar Port Navigation District Channel Deepening Project.

The study will identify and evaluate the feasibility of providing a deep-water connection between the Houston Ship Channel and a planned future deepwater terminal facility at Cedar Port Industrial Park while enhancing efficient, safe, and reliable navigation in the Cedar Bayou Navigation Channel and Houston Ship Channel to existing stakeholder terminals.
